Due to demand, many people will wait to see a therapist and I strive to see people as early as possible. I reduce waiting times by minimising the number of missed or unused appointments.

Studies also show that positive therapeutic results are linked to regular attendance of sessions and the following guidelines apply:

Appointment schedules

Following an assessment, I will discuss your treatment plan with you. It will be beneficial that you attend a regular therapy appointment weekly or bi-weekly.


I value our time together and prepare to start and finish sessions promptly. Sometimes there are emergencies. Please arrive on time as I may be unable to extend appointments if another client may be waiting.


Payments for appointments are to be made prior to attending the session. If you are unable to make a payment, your next appointment time will be held for 48 hours. If you have not paid within this time, your appointment time may be offered to another client.

Cancellation policy

We may have an agreed and protected time slot in place, which means I cannot offer this appointment to another client. Please inform me of any upcoming holidays or other commitments you may have. This will allow me to allocate this time to another client in an emergency.

Please cancel appointments by giving 24 hours’ notice and there will be no charge. If you are regularly cancelling your allocated appointments, future sessions may be delayed.

Less than 24 hours’ notice of cancellation and you will be required to make an advanced payment for your next appointment. This is non-refundable and non-transferable.

Late cancellations (less than 24 hours notice) incurs the session charge in full. Without adequate notice, I am unable to reallocate this time.


I provide a confidential service to my clients. The only exception is if I believe that you are a potential risk to yourself or others. In this case, we would discuss any concerns along with an action plan before involving a third party.

I am committed to proving a confidential and effective service and will request regular feedback to ensure this is happening. If you are concerned with any aspect of your care plan, please let me know as soon as possible. We will work together to find a resolution.
